Eurotunnel carried record-breaking truck traffic on its shuttle for the 10th month in a row in August.
It transported 126,769 vehicles between its stations in Folkestone and Coquelles, up 24% on the same time last year.
There has been a 12% increase from January to August, carrying just over one million trucks, verses the same period in 2015.
Meanwhile, passenger traffic slipped by 3%, with 347,920 cars, motorcycles and other vehicles transported, which bosses put down to having only four weekends in August against five last year.
There has been a 1% increase overall from January to August to 1.8 million.
Coach traffic has faired the worst this year, down 10% from January to August to a little over 36,000.
Eurotunnel spokesman John Keefe said: "The speed and frequency of shuttle departures combined with the security of the freight terminal makes the Eurotunnel service the first choice for the growing express deliveries, just-in-time supply chain and perishable goods sectors."
