Former Co-operative Legal Services director of policy Christina Blacklaws joins Cripps based in Tunbridge Wells as director of client services

A former director of policy at Co-operative Legal Services has joined a Kent law firm.
One of the country’s most high profile lawyers Christina Blacklaws has become Cripps’ director of client services.
With 25 years’ experience she joins after three years with the Co-op, helping to run the largest specialist family law firm in the country.
However she left the troubled institution in April, which had been engulfed in a cloud surrounding its banking operations.
She briefly running her own company Blacklaws Consultancy before joining Cripps this month, which has offices in Tunbridge Wells, Kings Hill, Sandwich and London.
She also sits on the Law Society Council, representing the Women Lawyers Division, and on the executive of the Family Justice Council.

Cripps was formed following a merger of Kent law firms Cripps Harries Hall and corporate law specialist Vertex Law.
It has a workforce of more than 300, including 48 partners, and expects turnover to reach more than £25m this year.
