Confectionary firm Fudge Kitchen has unveiled a limited edition treat with all proceeds going towards a humanitarian aid organisation working in war-torn Ukraine.
The firm, which has stores across the UK, including Canterbury, and is headquartered in Lyminge, near Folkestone, says the special lemon meringue fudge - which comes in the colours of Ukraine's flag, blue and yellow - will help Direct Relief, which is in the country providing urgent medical care and emergency response.
Fudge Kitchen MD, Sian Holt, says “It was important for us to partner with the right aid organisation to ensure fundraising proceeds get to where they’re needed most.
"Direct Relief has a 100% fundraising efficiency rating and full transparency across its operations. Our limited-edition fudge is a small thing we can do as a business to stand in solidarity with those in Ukraine.”
Supported by giving platform B1G1, Direct Relief is working with Ukraine’s Ministry of Health and regional partners to provide urgent medical aid.
B1G1 is an initiative that helps businesses achieve more social impact by embedding giving activities into their everyday business operations.
