Glaxo Smith Kline has confirmed jobs will be cut as part of efforts to reduce its costs by a further £1 billion.

The pharmaceutical firm hasn't given any figures.

But it has already revealed plans to close its base in Dartford - with around 650 manufacturing operation jobs to be lost by 2013.
