A discount homeware shop will open before the end of the month, creating 25 jobs.

Homesense will launch a store inside the existing TK Maxx on St Peter’s Street in Maidstone on Saturday, October 28.

The 11,000 sq ft outlet will sell branded furniture and goods at up to 60% below the recommended retail price.

It is the company’s 53rd store in the UK.

It already has a store in North Farm near Tunbridge Wells.

A spokesman for Homesense said: “We are delighted to be moving in with TK Maxx and opening our first store in Maidstone.”
