An online retailer in the county, selling innovative homeware goods, has won a top prize at a ceremony recognising entrepreneurs.
Must Have Ideas, based in Snodland, was named Established Business of the Year for the South East of England at the Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
The firm, founded by husband and wife team Amy and Rob Knight and friend Chris Finch, launched in 2018. Today it has a turnover of some £65 million.
Earlier this year, the company was named in the Sunday Times 100 Fastest Growing Companies list and launched its own dedicated shopping channel in August. It now employs 135 staff.
Director and co-founder Amy Knight said: “I am honoured to have our business growth recognised, we look forward to continuing growing Must Have Ideas into a household name.”
Rob Knight made his name with the Ecoegg, launched in 2009. The device, designed to wash your clothes while saving on detergent and being kind to sensitive skin, proved a huge hit. He sold the Maidstone-based firm in 2018 after it sold more than three million units worldwide.
Francesca James, founder of the awards, added: "Every year, I’m in awe of the entrepreneurs who come through our programme, and this year is no different.
“These extraordinary individuals are not only transforming industries but also uplifting communities and inspiring the next generation of business leaders."
