A Grade II listed pub has been put on the market after its owners for the last seven years decided to retire.
The leasehold for the Huntsman & Horn in Broomfield, near Herne Bay, has been put up for sale for £72,000.
Sitting opposite the village duck pond, the pub has an inglenook fireplace and wood burner in its main bar, with space for about 20 people.
Its restaurant seats another 30 under exposed wooden beams and next to a brick fireplace.
Potential buyers can live in the owner’s accomodation upstairs, with two double bedrooms, a single bedroom, bathroom, living room and kithcen-diner.
James Hughes, a business agent at Christie & Co’s Maidstone office, which is handling the sale, said: “The market for pubs in east Kent is buoyant with now a good time to acquire.
“This property is ideal for all potential suitors who are wishing to be at the heart of a community whether they’re buying a pub for the first time or already have experience.
“The Huntsman & Horn is a traditional community pub set in an idyllic position and attracts repeat custom from a wide radius and has a loyal following within the local community.”
