Investment agency drops hint over new jobs

LOCATE in Kent (LiK), the inward investment agency, has suggested that up to 450 jobs could be created in the county in the near future.

LiK attended Call Centre Expo, the UK's largest exhibition for the industry, and recevied 10 enquiries from potential relocators.

Three companies are considering immediate investments, which would lead to the new positions.

Paul Wookey, LiK's chief executive, said: "Kent has a burgeoning call centre industry.

"It has a great deal to offer, notably a skilled, loyal workforce and competitive commercial property prices compared to the likes of Leeds or Manchester."
