Two Kent-based estate agents specialising in distinctive properties have merged.

Calcutt Maclean Wood, of Wye, has linked up with Fox & Manwaring, of Edenbridge.

The merged agency is called FoxWood Maclean. It will build on links with Complete Land Management Group, the farm business and estate management business set up by Mark Weaver, and Mulberry Cottages, the holiday lettings agency owned by Sarah Wood.

Mr Weaver, managing director of FoxWood Maclean, said: "We have been looking for another strong agency partner in Kent for some time.

"We can now offer our clients over 150 years of experience in residential sales and lettings, commercial and retail to 'hands on' farming advice and professional managements."

The FoxWood Maclean property team will be headed by Nigel Maclean and Sarah Wood who have both worked in the sector for more than 30 years.

Ms Wood said: "Whether selling or buying a property, letting a holiday cottage or land management and farming advice, we can now provide it with our in-house team of experts."

Christopher Calcutt, co-founder with Maclean of Calcutt Maclean in Wye, and Simon Calcutt, a former director of Fox & Manwaring, have been retained as consultants.

Mr Maclean said: "This is an exciting and positive evolution for us and we are looking forward to providing our tailor made independent services across a much wider area."
