SITTINGBOURNE based MacDonald Mailing, one of the biggest distributors of magazines, brochures and catalogues in the UK, has been acquired by another Kent based company, Orbital Marketing Services.

MacDonald Mailing was set up in Faversham by the late Anne MacDonald in 1973. The company moved to Sittingbourne last year.

It employs 55 permanent staff and up to 30 casuals, who will now be transferred to Orbital.

MacDonald's clients include Sky Television, Estee Lauder, the AA Magazine, and PMD Healthcare Marketing Services.
