The company offers bespoke communication solu­tions to small, medium and large businesses through­out the UK, including many national contracts and household names.

FLR Spectron started life as two businesses; FLR, specialising in car phone installation, was founded in 1993 by Peter Scott-Wilds and Robert Fee, and for a short time was run from a spare bedroom in Peter’s house.

Spectron, specialising in telephone system installation, was founded in 1988 by Jerry Watts.

Both companies grew steadily through the difficult reces­sionary years of the 90s and then recognised the ben­efits to be gained from the advances in technology and introduction of the internet and email.

In 2005 the businesses amalgamated to become FLR Spectron. Since then the business has gone from strength to strength, expanding core specialist areas to include total communications solutions.

In 2007 the firm bought mobile specialist Sterling Syncordia, and in 2008 bought IT experts Datec Solutions Lim­ited.

It now employ more than 33 staff.Managing director Peter Scott-Wilds said: “The foun­dation of our business is our loyal customer base, which we support with a dedicated team of profes­sional people, who have an abundance of knowledge in delivering total client services.
