A printing company has hired more than 50 new staff since the turn of the year, in a bid to boost customer service.

Balreed, one of the UK’s leading independent providers of print technology, has upped its workforce from 148 in January to 202 today.

The Maidstone-based business believes the move will give them more scope to understand how clients' companies operate.

Balreed Group managing director Robin Stanton-Gleaves said: “It is interesting to hear some organisations making announcements that they are going to lead the industry by becoming more customer-centric but they are a little late in this respect.

“Over five years ago, we set up a dedicated managed service team that monitors client infrastructure and maximises performance.

“In every area of our operations since then, we have worked with clients to maximise their experience.

“Balreed’s strategy is to work with our clients on a continuous basis, understanding how their businesses operate and developing solutions and services to optimise their document infrastructure and processes now and in the future.”
