Safety experts win £200k transport deal

HEALTH and safety experts have won a £200,000 deal with one of Britain's leading transport operators.
Personnel Health and Safety Consultants, an Ofex-listed company based in Aylesford, is to supply services including safety checks to the Go-Ahead Group for the next three years.
The group includes road, rail and aviation services such as London Central and General Bus Company, Metrobus, Thameslink Rail, South Central Trains, Aviance-UK, and Meteor Parking Ltd.
Stephen King, PHSC managing director, said he was delighted to build on a 12-year relationship between his company and the Go-Ahead Group.
He said: “The new deal will bring a significant increase in Go-Ahead's spend with us and, taken together with other income from Go-Ahead companies, the total revenue to PHSC will comfortably exceed a quarter of a million pounds over the period."
Mr King founded PHSC in 1990. It was the first organisation to achieve the quality standard BS EN ISO 9002 (BS 5750) for health and safety consultancy and training. It joined Ofex in April 2003.
