Beer maker Shepherd Neame has begun rolling out its new branding, with its new logo painted above the entrance to its historic brewery.
The new corporate identity, with an arc above a hop inside a crook, the hooked staff used by a shepherd, was unveiled when the firm published its annual financial results last week.
It now appears above the door of its brewery in Faversham.
The design was developed by Tunbridge Wells-based JDO Brand & Design, which also revamped the branding on its Spitfire Ale, Master Brew and the Whitstable Bay collection.
The new branding, replacing the red badge used for more than 20 years, will be put on pub signs throughout the second half of this year.
The firm is also upgrading to a more mobile friendly website in December.
JDO creative director Ray Smith said: “We’ve taken inspiration from the brewery’s provenance, borrowing the rich and vibrant colours of Kent for the new identity.
“The Shepherd Neame brand identity is such an important asset for the business and we believe we’ve articulated the values and personality of this iconic British business.”
Shepherd Neame chief executive Jonathan Neame said: “We are delighted with our new identity, which takes inspiration from the brewery’s past and present.
“The project covers all aspects of this diverse company and articulates our brand positioning and the company’s strategic ambitions.”
