HOW to keep your money affairs in order, being credit-worthy and even planning a holiday for a large group of friends to New York were among issues dealt with by Kent sixth formers.

They took part in a series of workshops, seminars and conferences featuring expert speakers as part of Enterprise Week, a series of events designed to make them more financially aware when they leave school.

Students also had to research and prepare a portfolio of evidence for a presentation to show financial capability to fellow sixth formers, school staff and representatives from the Nat West under the Face to Face programme run by the bank and Warwick University.

Mike Bastin, director of business and enterprise at St George's School, Broadstairs, said: "It was an intensive week for the 60 sixth formers who learnt a great deal about financial responsibility. It has given them an excellent grounding for life when they leave school."
