A popular village pub has gone on the market with an asking price of £895,000.
The Tiger Inn in Stowting - between Ashford and Folkestone - is up for sale after its current owners decided to retire from the sector and spend more time with their children.
Robin and Julie Nixon have run the pub for the last four years.
The venue's bar and restaurant area can cater for up to 85 covers with a large commercial kitchen.
Outside there is dining space for a further 60 covers with 40 parking spaces.
There is an owner’s flat above the pub offering two double bedrooms, lounge, kitchen/diner, bathroom and balcony.
'We are sure the incoming owner will love The Tiger Inn just as much as we do.'
The current owners said: “We have absolutely enjoyed owning this beautiful pub and serving its fantastic customers, and we will massively miss it.
"However, we now need to concentrate on looking after our three disabled foster children as they grow and need more care, attention and space. Letting the pub go will enable our whole family to move into a larger, more suitable, specially adapted house. We are sure the incoming owner will love The Tiger Inn just as much as we do.”
James Hughes, business agent at Christie & Co which is handling the sale, added: “The Tiger Inn is the very picture of a quintessential English pub with plenty of character and would be the perfect acquisition for either a hands-on owner operator or a potential investor.
"The pub provides an ideal opportunity to begin operating immediately as it is performing incredibly well and has very good repeat trade. There is still huge potential to increase sales further by extending opening hours.”
Christie & Co is seeking an asking price £895,000 for the freehold interest of The Tiger Inn.
