WEDDING dress designer Krystyna Kuszyk has scooped the South East regional title in a national search for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Krystyna, 27, who runs Christina K bridalwear in Tunbridge Wells, beat three other finalists to become regional winner for Shell UK’s national LiveWIRE business programme. The title wins her prize money of £3,000 and automatic entry to the national finals in London on June 22.
At the awards ceremony, held in Great Yarmoth, competition judge Gordon Lund from Shell Exploration & Production said: "The title goes to Christina K–designer bridalwear because not only does the business have outstanding potential, but Krystyna demonstrated a sound understanding of the importance of thorough preparation, sound business planning and lots of creativity.
"I wish her good luck at the UK final of the Shell LiveWIRE awards in London in June."
Commenting on the accolade Krystyna said, "I’m delighted to have won this award. It’s a great boost for my business and I’m looking forward to representing the South East Region at the UK final."
The award adds to several others Krystyna has won in the year since her business has been running.
Krystyna was presented with an award for business development by the Kent Foundation in April and was honoured for her marketing skills last year by Business Link Kent.
