Anyone for boules?
The first Kent Business Petanque Challenge, for teams of three
players, is at Hotel du Vin, Tunbridge Wells, on September 27, with
two drinks per head and canapes.
Firms may bring more players and rotate their teams. The hotel
is donating three prize vouchers for afternoon tea, while
Pierre & Vacances is offering three sets of boules.
The Hotel du Vin and Bistro offers two Petanque lanes on its
lower lawns.
Paul Harvey, KM Group Business Development Manager, said: "We
are looking to form eight teams of three players per team, and a
company can of course recruit, say, six people to rotate in a team.
The hotel is happy to cater for up to 60 people and could create
another Petanque lawn if needed."
He added: "Team places are limited - so a quick response is
recommended. If it rains - we will have a networking event inside
the hotel.
"Hotel du Vin are in partnership with Kent Business for our
first Petanque challenge, and we are delighted with the
association."
Hotel general manager Simon Maguire added: "We are delighted to
be hosting, along with the KM Group, such an exciting event for the
business community.
"We are looking forward to welcoming both new and also familiar
faces on September 27 to what should be a fun filled afternoon. We
have lots to look forward to with the launch of not only this event
but both our new A la carte and private dining menu too."
He said that until the end of August, room hire would be
complimentary.
