Television Apprentice Raef Bjayou is in Kent this week to talk about life as an entrepreneur.
The snappy dresser who did battle with the formidable Sir Alan Sugar in the last series and heard those ominous words "You’re Fired" will be sharing best practice with business owners, students and interested members of the public.
They will be able to meet and hear well-spoken property owner Raef as part of The Flying Start Rally on Wednesday.
The event will take place at Canterbury College from 12.30pm and is organised by Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Kent, and Canterbury City Council on behalf of the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurs (NCGE).
Students from Canterbury Christ Church University, the University of Kent, the University of the Creative Arts and Canterbury College will be taking part.
Raef said: "I am delighted to take part in this very worthwhile event which I hope will give student and graduate entrepreneurs a taste of the entrepreneurial lifestyle.
"I believe that the very best entrepreneurs dare to innovate, to inspire and to break through. The one key quality that all successful entrepreneurs possess is sheer determination, the ability to see each business venture successfully through.
"I shall look forward to sharing best practice with Kent’s students, graduates and business owners and provide them with the help and support they need to set them on the road to success."
Raef will be joined by other entrepreneurs as well as legal, financial and marketing experts. Workshop sessions will cover topics such as generating ideas, applying for funding, and giving participants tips on how to take the next step toward realising their business dreams.
They will be encouraged to make a pledge about their entrepreneurial future and become part of the Flying Start online community and support system.
This will put them in touch with the right people in their university and local area for start-up business information.
