Could you be a caring customer and support the hospitality sector through tough times?
Produced in Kent has been running its #CaringCustomer appeal, part of its Support Your Local campaign, since the summer with Visit Kent, supporting the hospitality industry across the county.
The appeal urges locals to sign a pledge that they will be a #CaringCustomer, and share it online with family and friends.
The previous two appeals saw almost 1,500 pledges made by people wanting to help local businesses.
The third and final appeal has now been launched and, as a thank you to everyone taking part, there are four fantastic prizes to be won.
They are...
A first prize of a midweek stay for two, including dinner and breakfast at the award-winning Pig at Bridge Place, near Canterbury.
A second prize of a special guided gin-making experience for two at Maidstone Distillery.
Third prize is a three-course meal plus drinks for two at The Ferry House Inn on the Isle of Sheppey.
The fourth prize is to take a high-end afternoon tea for two at The Bakehouse at 124 in Tonbridge.
Produced in Kent chief executive Floortje Hoette said: "With the second lockdown in place until December, hospitality businesses are facing a very challenging time ahead and need our support more than ever. There are many ways in which we can still help our favourite pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and other hospitality venues in Kent.
"Why not order a takeaway meal or drink from your pub? Or make a loved one happy with a foodie gift voucher for Christmas?
"Supporting your local also supports the food and drink supply chain that sits behind it. By buying a takeaway or a voucher, you help a whole range of businesses and keep people in jobs, so that we can still enjoy the amazing food and drink Kent has to offer in 2021.
"Let’s all rally together and Support Our Local!"
The winners will be chosen at random in mid December from those caring customers who have signed the pledge, with prizes redeemable in 2021.
