EXCITEMENT is mounting as more than 80 top companies await the judges' verdict in this year's Kent Business Awards. But the tension will only ease on the county's business night of the year - and you could be there.
A high-powered panel, led by Graham Webb, chairman of international haircare company Graham Webb International, meet in May to draw up the list of finalists from a shortlist of the county's most enterprising and dynamic companies.
The results will be revealed on June 27 when the Kent Business Awards gala dinner is held at Saga Pavilion, Sandgate. This black-tie event gives an excellent opportunity for the business community to find out what makes winning companies outstanding and to network with the best in a stunning venue.
Previous dinners have attracted more than 400 guests and there is still time to book for the 2002 event, which as well as the awards drama promises live music and a celebrity presenter. Organisers made this plea: "Don't miss the celebrations - because success in Kent is worth shouting about!"
Tickets for the dinner, sponsored by Kent County Council, are available in tables of ten at £520 plus VAT per table (wine and liqueurs extra). Tickets through www.kent-business-awards or call Lynna Williams in the awards office on 01273 207155.
