A biotech firm in the county has hired a new chief executive to oversee its continuing expansion.
Logical Biological, based on Sandwich’s Discovery Park, specialises in providing biological specimens for diagnostics and therapeutic research.
Now it has hired Stephane Argivier as its new CEO. He previously held the same position at biotech company MIP Discovery. He succeeds Dr James Steggles - the company’s founder - who will remain with the company as chairman.
The company’s growth has been underlined by securing 149th place in the FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies list as well as being presented with the prestigious King’s Award for international trade and outstanding short-term growth in overseas sales.
Over the period 2020-2022 it saw an 170% increase in international revenues.
The new CEO became a non-executive director of the Logical Director board back in 2021.
Dr Steggles said: “His leadership and expertise will drive Logical Biological forward in its mission to deliver a sustainable supply of critical material solutions to accelerate our customers diagnostic and therapeutic advancements.’’
Stephane Argivier added: “I joined Logical Biological as CEO because I could see the great potential in the company. In my four years with the business as a board director, I have been impressed by the quality of our people, know-how and the strength of our client relationships, which provide strong foundations on which to build in the years ahead.”
