Broadstairs window blind manufacturer Novatec has announced a management buy-out from parent company Silent Gliss.
Jason Jeffrey, sales director at Novatec has joined forces with Eamonn Forde, who is moving to Kent from another blinds firm, have acquired Novatec’s entire share capital.
Novatec has a turnover of £2.4 million and employs 30 full-time staff.
Mr Jeffrey said: "I’ve been proud to be a part of this organisation since its conception and privileged that I could play a part in securing its future.
"Our key principles of design, quality and service will create the foundations to drive future growth and opportunities".
Mr Forde, who joins Novatec as managing director said: "It’s a particularly challenging time to buy a manufacturing business in the UK, but I feel confident of driving real growth due to the experienced workforce we have here and the new product ranges about to be launched".
Novatec and curtain and blind systems supplier Silent Gliss are both based at the Pyramid Business Park, Broadstairs.
