DARTFORD builder, Regent Development, has won a quality award.

The company, founded in 1995 by Mark Slater, has just been granted ISO9001, the industry's top quality accolade.

The company, based in Waldeck Road, Dartford, specialises in refurbishment, school maintenance and repairs for local businesses and domestic properties.

Annual turnover has grown to nearly £2 million in the past seven years and the company employs around 25 staff.

Recent contracts include a £1 million conversion of the former Zetters Pools headquarters in Clerkenwell, London, into three luxury flats and a penthouse.

Mr Slater said: "We have not forgotten our roots and we undertake a wide variety of works and finishes from a water-damaged Artex ceiling to a replacement hand-built kitchen and marble worktops."
