A new cafe, bar and restaurant opens in Ramsgate today - sat at the foot of one of the town’s swankiest new developments.
Loungers - the company behind the Lounge and Cosy Club brands - will open up a site on the promenade as part of the Royal Sands development.
The Perico Lounge, as it will be known, is creating around 30 jobs.
It joins a rapidly increasing line-up of outlets by the company in Kent. It recently opened the popular Riparo Lounge in the former Debenhams building at nearby Westwood Cross.
A Leo Lounge is set to be opened in Faversham on July 10.
The company says the Ramsgate site on Beach Drive has been transformed into the brand’s recognisable heavily patterned wallpapers, tiling and stripped wooden floors, oversized vintage sofas, upholstered lounge chairs and eclectic artwork.
It will offer an all-day menu featuring everything from tapas and salads to burgers.
Gemma Irwin, community manager at Loungers, said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming local residents to Perico Lounge.”
A boutique gelato has also been confirmed as taking one of the units at the Royal Sands development in Ramsgate.
