A care home for adults with autism and learning difficulties has been rated “good” by inspectors.
Staff at Martins, which looks after residents in Ramsgate, were praised for the way they provided a warm, nurturing environment run in a “family style” with a range of different activities and interests.
The Care Quality Commission said staff were committed and working hard to provide an individual service that suited each person and improved their quality of life.
Martins is managed by Craegmoor, part of the Priory Group, which specialises in mental healthcare.
It provides support to adults with autism and learning disabilities who may at times present severely challenging behaviour.
Manager Matt Snowden said: “We are thrilled with the outcome of our latest CQC inspection as we have all worked incredibly hard to ensure that are residents are happy, comfortable and always inspired to achieve their goals."
Sarah Hughes, chief executive of Craegmoor, said: “It is great to hear that the CQC holds the service in such a high regard, particularly in ensuring that the service offers an individualised and person-centred approach.”
