A CHARITY is better off by £2,600 as a result of efforts at Maidstone based Whatman International.
The firm that specialises in filters, DNA storage and separations technology, presented the money to Swale Young Carers.
Staff raised £1,300 from a number of fun events, including five male employees at the Larkfield site shaving off their hair. Whatman matched the sum.
Swale Young Carers aims to increase awareness of the rights and needs of young people who spend time caring for someone with an illness or disability.
