THE Co-op will meet with Kent food and drink producers in a bid to put more south east products on to the shelves of its 2,350 stores across the UK.

David Messom, general manager of category buying for the Co-operative Group said: "As a consumer-owned community retailer the Co-op is committed to supporting local economies in the areas where it trades.

"We are determined to put more quality Kent products into our stores in the south east and the UK and believe our initiative will help boost the region's economy."
