GOOSE bumps could not deter a quartet of scantily clad models from showing off the latest lingerie creations of a talented young fashion designer.

Majella Chambers, 24, attracted more than 200 guests to Banks Fashion Show 2005 at Banks Wine Bar in Bank Street, Maidstone.

Four models - Hannah, Mel, Amy and Becky - braved the chilly evening air in a large outside courtyard to display her intricate Boudoir Lingerie and Womenswear collection.

The Boudoir Girls made their entrance down a steel stairway before sashaying along a concrete catwalk with a teasing display of sexy lace, floaty skirts and flirty summer dresses.

The audience kept warm with loud applause for every creation.

Majella, from Maidstone, said: "I have had a lot of positive feedback and a lot of orders, which is great. I didn't expect the amount of orders that I've had so it's been wonderful."

She added that many guests had asked her when the next show was being held. "It's a wonderful feeling," she said.

Majella hopes to follow in the tradition of Karen Millen and Zandra Rhodes, fashion designers who learned their skills in Kent and went onto international fame.

She has won support from the Prince's Trust and Business Link Kent and sells a substantial number of her garments to overseas custoemrs over the Internet.

She is looking to expand the business by providing exclusive ranges to prestigious boutiques in the UK and the USA.
