A high-quality cup of coffee at a fair price. That’s what new coffee shop Cup 109 in Tunbridge Wells offers its customers.

It’s also what has attracted so many of them to the coffee shop since it opened its doors in July.

Nestled in the heart of the town on Mount Pleasant Road, the independent family-run coffee shop has already earned rave reviews for its delicious coffee and food, as well as its warm and friendly service and ambience.

Heading into the festive season, Cup 109, which was named after the address and the fact that a standard 12oz cup of coffee contains an average of 109 milligrams of caffeine, will be adding new Christmas-themed lines to its menu in December, which includes savoury breakfasts to add to the porridge and granola it already offers, as well as its mince pies, panettone and other festive treats.

The coffee shop will also be enhancing its range of seasonal coffees, with the introduction of exciting new flavours, including cinnamon, maple, mint, and a winter spice drink.

Cup 109 owner Paul Cain-Renshaw, who runs the coffee shop with his wife Susan and six-strong team, said: “We would like to say a big thank you for the tremendous support that we have received from our customers and the local community. The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive and, moving forward, we’re looking to offer customers even more, with the launch of our new seasonal lines.

“We pride ourselves on offering quality produce that’s good value for money. We’re also big on sustainability, so we source our coffee from a B Corp, which ensures not only outstanding quality, but also the highest sustainability, social, ethical and environmental performance standards.”

Cup 109 has fresh bakery items, including bagels, focaccias, rolls and pastries, delivered every morning from its royally appointed bakery. It also makes its own fresh Matcha tea by brewing fresh Chai spices, and melts chocolate buttons to make its very popular hot chocolates.

Cup 109 is open from Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm and on Saturday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
