ANOTHER David is heading the county's property development group. David Dye, a director with Land Securities, has taken over from David Wilson, previously with Eurotunnel Developments, as chairman of Kent Developers Group.
Mr Dye, 50, from Sevenoaks, will champion the cause of commercial property across Kent and Medway by working closely with planning authorities, investors, surveyors and agents. Kent Developers Group works with inward investment agency Locate in Kent to attract new jobs and businesses to the county.
Mr Dye said: "The recent Kent Property Market Report highlighted growing optimism. I'm delighted that the commitment and investment by developers across the county is increasingly being acknowledged as a significant driver for economic development."
Sir Graeme Odgers, chairman of Locate in Kent, said: "David's knowledge of Kent, his understanding of what the county has to offer not only as a location for business but also for property investors, will make him an invaluable member of the team that is committed to taking Kent forward."
Before joining Land Securities, Mr Dye developed business parks along the M3 and M4 corridors, created city centre offices, and managed commercial and healthcare building projects.
Mr Dye is married with four children. He spends his free time either with his family and friends, improving his house and garden or playing tennis.
