A local MP paid a visit to a dental surgery in his constituency that he helped save after the business, like many others, hit tough times during lockdown.
Tom Tugendhat, Conservative MP for Tonbridge and Malling, had played a key role in helping Fourways Dental Surgery in Sevenoaks secure a much-needed grant to keep the local practice afloat after the private family business had all but grinded to a halt when the lockdown restrictions had been in full force.
Mr Tugendhat visited the popular dental surgery on Sevenoaks Road in Borough Green on Friday where he was personally thanked by the team at Fourways Dental Surgery.
“We were delighted that Mr Tugendhat had accepted the invitation to visit our practice so that we can all celebrate our return to business after lockdown,” said Clinical Director Dr Avi Riley.
“Mr Tugendhat was instrumental in ensuring we secured a grant that other businesses had access to, but we were initially refused. We are now welcoming back our loyal patients and caring for them as we have always done - with their safety and dignity considered at all times.
“He has once again demonstrated his commitment to local businesses in Borough Green.”
Fourways Dental Surgery was one of the first dental practices to reopen in the area after government lockdown restrictions began to ease.
Welcoming new patients of all ages, the local surgery offers a wide offering of services including General and Cosmetic Dentistry, Invisible braces and Implants, as well as a Facial Aesthetics clinic.
The friendly team at the practice also have a reputation for being especially good when it comes to easing the concerns and anxieties of nervous patients.

“Dental surgeries are one of the essential services most affected by social distancing measures and the government has worked hard to ensure that we all get the treatment we need, throughout lockdown," commented Mr Tugendhat.
"This couldn’t have happened without the work and dedication of all Dentists, including Dr Riley and her staff at Fourways in Borough Green."
He adds: “It will be great to see the measures which are being taken to prevent tooth decay and gum disease and witness the very high standards of care and infection control.”
To celebrate the doors of the business reopening after lockdown, Dr Riley is offering the public a new patient consultancy at half price until the end of September.*
