A housebuilder has acquired more than nine acres of land in Hamstreet, near Ashford, on which it plans to build 50 new homes.
Dandara, which has offices in Tunbridge Wells, says the site just off Warehorne Road, and within walking distance of the railway station, will include 20 'affordable' homes.
Work will begin on the site - to be called The Pippins - in May, with a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes being constructed.
The site is set across 9.2 acres of land. The housebuilder will also create a new footpath and road to give residents access to Warehorne Road, as well as a footpath and cyclepath to access onto Ashford Road.
Louise Norman, associate sales and marketing director at Dandara South East, said: “The Pippins is set in a brilliant location, offering the very best of village life whilst maintaining access to Kent towns and the capital, and is bringing much-needed quality new homes to the area.
