The Observatory will give Kent Thameside developer Land Securities a commanding view of its work in progress

LAND Securities, the developer of Kent Thameside, is literally overseeing the project.

Its new office The Observatory, off Southfleet Road, has a commanding position overlooking Eastern Quarry and Ebbsfleet with 360-degree panoramic views across Kent Thameside.

The 10,000 sq ft glass clad building has been designed by Campbell Architects.

Land Securities says the building demonstrates the innovative architecture it wants to deliver across its schemes.

Robyn Pyle, development director, said: "The design of the Observatory really sets the standard for the architecture we are dedicated to achieving for our buildings in Kent Thameside.

"With over 20 years of work ahead of us, our new office not only highlights our commitment to design but also to the region, with a dedicated base for our team."

Over the next 20 years, there are plans to create 13,000 new homes, 6.27 million sq ft of commercial space, and 3.3 million sq ft of retail, leisure and community facilities on 1,450 acres of development land at Eastern Quarry, Ebbsfleet, Swanscombe and Waterstone Park.
