Specsavers has created more than 30 new jobs as it bids to combat the backlog for its services after the lifting of lockdown.
The optician and audiologist, which has branches across the county, has created 31 new roles.
Head of recruitment, Alan Gregg, said: "As well as people with optical or audiology experience, we are eager to find experienced retailers who put the customer at the heart of what they do. This will help us to continue to offer the highest standards of care in order to meet the pent-up demand brought about by lockdowns and social distancing restrictions."
He added there were also a number of apprenticeships available.
The firm said the jobs could "prove to be a real lifeline to local retail workers, amongst others, who have struggled to find work or lost their jobs during the pandemic".
Nationally, Specsavers has created 400 retail roles in stores throughout the UK.
