THE keynote speaker at a Kent IT conference painted an exciting technological picture of the future.
Graham Whitehead, principal consultant at BT Exact, was talking at eKent, where 49 exhibitors were showcasing the latest technology available.
In front of 600 delegates, Mr Whitehead said: "In terms of technology, there will be more changes in the next 10 years than there have been in the last 150.
"It is unlikely that your business is changing as fast as technology but if you are not in the race now, in two years time it will be too late to catch up."
eKent was funded by SEEDA and organised by Business Link on behalf of the eKent Partnership which includes Kent County Council, Medway Council, BT, Kent Messenger, University of Kent, Federation of Small Businesses and Business Link.
Kim Fletcher, Business Link’s programme development manager, said: "This was the first show of its kind on this scale in Kent and the large turnout proves that companies are keen to learn how IT can improve their business."
