A laser system company which has lit up concerts for Queen and Metallica is planning a world record light show in Las Vegas after securing a funding deal.
ER Productions, based in Dartford, is poised to expand after securing £200,000 of funding to pay for high-end equipment and to secure new concert and television contracts across the UK and abroad.
The new deals means the company is planning to take on new staff and is looking for bigger premises to accommodate the growing business.
The company, which has offices in the USA, Spain and Australia, plans to mark its 10th anniversary this year with a Guinness World Records attempt.
It will try to host the largest ever laser show at Live Design International, North America’s largest trade show for the live entertainment technology in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The firm has choreographed laser shows for thousands of events, from the Brit Awards and Kylie Minogue concerts to the new Crystal Maze series.
Ryan Hagan, co-founder of ER Productions, said: “We opened our first US office in Las Vegas three years ago, seven years after we started the company and the city has been very kind to us.
“For our 10th birthday, we wanted to create a truly memorable laser show that people will be talking about in years to come.”
The business has invested £3 million in new equipment in the last year.
Co-founder and director Marc Webber said: “It has been challenging managing cashflow and without the funding from HSBC we would not have been able to grow the company in the way we have.
“We have been with HSBC since we started the company back in 2007.
“They helped us then with the loan we needed to start up and have continued to support us.”
Sarah Milligan, HSBC’s area director in Kent, said: “Marc and his team have developed an award-winning company in just 10 years.
“Our support has helped fund their shows around the world and we look forward to supporting the purchase of new premises down the line.”
