An events company has bought the rights to Kent’s biggest business exhibition just days after it was revealed its previous owners face closure.
Revolution Events have acquired the Kent 2020 Vision series of shows from BSK-CiC, having already managed them on its behalf for the last four years.
The acquisition ends doubts about the future of Kent 2020 Vision Live, the largest business to business event in the South East, which celebrates its 10th anniversary when it next takes place on Wednesday, May 13.
Revolution, based in Pembury, had already grown the event to the point where it no longer needed an annual subsidy from BSK to go ahead, attracting more than 3,200 visitors and 300 exhibitors each year.
Chris Callander, BSK’s commercial director who helped manage the events, will continue to work with Revolution in an independent capacity.
Rich Tribe, joint managing director of Revolution Events, said: “We have greatly enjoyed working with BSK over the past four years and we are delighted that the Kent 2020 events have now reached the point of being commercially sustainable in their own right.
“We have some exciting plans for their future evolution and look forward to working with the Kent business community to continue the great work that BSK and their partners began 10 years ago.”
