Events to learn about self-employment

BUSINESS Link Kent is holding two breakfast seminars that will allow people to find out more about franchising.

The first is on April 14, at Eastwell Manor, near Ashford; the second a month later at Rowhill Grange, Dartford, on May 19.

The events will include overviews of franchising and the franchise market in the UK, presented by The Franchise Alliance as well as the six steps to choosing a franchise.

A representative from NatWest Bank will explain why banks support franchising, as well as the levels and types of funding on offer.

Carole Black, Business Link Kent's events manager, said: "These breakfast seminars will give people a real taste of opportunities available to them.

"Buying a franchise means you buy a proven business system and is a more secure route to start your own business."

The events run from 8am to 10.30am and include a full English breakfast.
