Those who arrived early were rewarded with golden tickets, offering them the chance to win a £250 B&M gift card. As the clock struck 8am, one lucky winner was chosen to kickstart their shopping spree with a bang. There were also 200 £10 B&M gift cards up for grabs as part of a ‘Show Your Haul’ pop-up!

As shoppers continued to flood into B&M throughout the day, the atmosphere was buzzing. After scouring the aisles for the best deals, customers were invited to showcase their haul at the competition stand outside the store.

B&M’s new home at The Mall Maidstone spans a whopping 26,617 sq ft and the space has undergone a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment.

With 80 new jobs created for the local community, the grand opening represented not just a retail milestone, but a testament to B&M's commitment to supporting Maidstone's economy and residents.

In a touching display of community spirit, B&M's colleagues chose local charity Making A Difference Maidstone (MADM) to officially unveil the brand-new store.

MADM supports individuals and families who find themselves in crisis through homelessness, domestic abuse, addiction, financial need, unemployment, relationship breakdown and more. Beyond addressing immediate needs, the charity empowers them to explore their full potential so that they can reintegrate into society and lead productive and positive lives, and enhance the communities in which they live.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“MADM really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
