TUNBRIDGE Wells MP Archie Norman has opened a long-established law firm's new headquarters. He unveiled a plaque at Buss Murton's new offices at Wellington Gate, Church Road, Tunbridge Wells.
Buss Murton has been in the town since 1797. Until recently, the firm was based in Priory Building on the corner of Church Road. Mr Norman said that Tunbridge Wells was fast becoming a centre of excellence for service industries.
"Everyone should be aware that professional expertise is available here in Tunbridge Wells that can match or better that available in London and other major urban centres," he said. "Tunbridge Wells businesses are showing time and again that they can succeed in highly competitive markets and Buss Murton is to be congratulated on its imaginative move to new offices."
Robert Sedgwick, managing partner said: "The Priory is a delightful Victorian building but not very practical as office space for an expanding business. We already had staff working at Wellington Gate and the benefits of moving to modern, air-conditioned offices became obvious."
Buss Murton employs more than 80 staff and occupies two floors at Wellington Gate.
