A KENT businessman who died last July at the age of 95 left nearly £6million, it has been revealed.
Ken Geering, who lived at Wootton Manor, Charing, was over several decades regarded as one of Ashford's most successful business leaders.
Until five years before his death he was head of the family stationery and printing business in the town. In his will just published, Mr Geering left an estate valued at £5,798,729 gross, £5,778,748 net to relatives.
Before joining his father, Walter, in the family business, Mr Geering was articled to a firm of solicitors but chose commerce before the law because he loved to buy and sell.
His first job was as a typewriter salesman at which he excelled. He once famously sold a machine to an AA patrolman who turned out to fix his car.
