PEOPLE crossing the Channel can be left in no doubt about how much it costs to travel from Dover to Boulogne with SpeedFerries.

The company has had its SpeedOne craft repainted in order to feature the latest offer of a maximum price of £19 for a standard car and six people one way.

"It has turned the craft into the largest billboard on the Channel," said SpeedFerries communications manager Marianne Illum.

Last year, the slogan Fight The Pirates! was painted on craft as the company accused the bigger ferry companies of dirty tricks. Now the fare has been painted in big letters and numbers on the side of the craft.

The low fares charged by SpeedFerries has resulted in other ferry companies slashing their prices.
