A nine-acre site has been snapped up in West Malling to build a retirement village.
The site has planning permission to build 79 homes for the over-65s.
Retirement Villages Group (RVG), owned by AXA IM Real Assets, is behind the scheme and follows on from the recent purchase of the site of the former ABC Cinema in central Tunbridge Wells last year.
The plans will see the homes build along with communal facilities including a restaurant, lounge area and healthcare facilities.
The scheme will be delivered as ‘whole life net zero carbon’.
Development manager at Retirement Villages Group, Alex Williams, said: “This site presents a fantastic opportunity to provide more integrated retirement living that addresses the growing demand for extra care housing.
"Its location and landscape-led design will support our customers to live active, independent and connected lives, in close proximity to West Malling town centre and the many attractions of this highly attractive part of Kent.”
