WOMEN will be bringing dash and style to business at their annual exhibition on Wednesday, March 8.
For the second year running, the Kent Group of Women in Business is staging a high-profile countywide expo to help people setting up and growing businesses.
In particular, it is targeting female entrepreneurs who it claims are still under-represented in the UK.
Lingerie and womenswear fashion designer Majella Chambers, last year’s Kent Young Entrepreneur of the Year, will open the exhibition at 10am.
Visitors to the “Building Business, Building Confidence” event at the Holiday Inn, Rochester, will see a wide range of businesses from across the county showing off their wares.
Seminars will be held throughout the day, covering such topics as human resources, marketing and public relations.
“This is an event not to be missed,” says Josephine Hanagan, chairman of Women in Business, Medway and North Kent.
“With around 60 exhibitors, business people will find invaluable help, whether they be self-employed or employed, start-up or established enterprises.”
The exhibition will be open to the general public from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free.
Exhibitors include Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Agency of North Kent, Medway Council, Business Link Kent, Kent Business School, the Pensions Advisory Service, Lloyds Bank plc, The Prince’s Trust and a host of other companies.
Sponsors include Medway Council, Holiday Inn, Kent Business, Business Link Kent, Invincible Networking Solutions, Minuteman Press and Simply People.
