A former senior executive at BT and Sky - and an ex-professional cricketer - has been appointed the new chief financial officer of Holiday Extras.
The firm, based in Newingreen, near Hythe, has hired Hugo Loudon, 37, to the role.
Holiday Extras has become the market leader in holiday add-ons such as airport parking, travel insurance and airport hotels.
Mr Loudon was previously finance director at BT, head of finance at Sky and finance manager at PwC.
He is also the brother of former Kent cricketer Alex Loudon and had a brief professional career with Hampshire.
Matthew Pack, group CEO of Holiday Extras, said: “I am delighted Hugo has joined us. He has the skills, ambition and drive to take Holiday Extras to new heights. I love his strategic thinking and the discipline he brings to the office environment with his professional sports background.
"It’s two years since the business completed a second management buyout, and despite all of the headwinds in travel we’re two years ahead of our original five-year plan."
Mr Loudon added: “I’m looking forward to joining a great leadership team at Holiday Extras. My own passions are sport and travelling with my family so contributing to a business with a mission to make the most of people’s precious leisure time is something I’m very much looking forward to.”
