A former Formula One ace has signed up as the latest ambassador for a major hospitality firm.
Johnny Herbert, who raced from 1989 to 2000 in F1, has joined Maidstone-based Hospitality Finder's Green Room events as its official ambassador for motorsport.
The Green Room is the company's opportunity for clients to meet big names as part of a VIP experience at the world's top events.
He will entertain guests for the F1 Monaco GP and the British GP at Silverstone.
He joins a long list of ambassadors at the company, including the former England Rugby Union captains Lawrence Dallaglio and Mike Tindall, who joined the business back in 2014, as well as current England and Surrey cricketer Jason Roy.
The company is the fastest-growing independent hospitality company in the UK, providing exclusive VIP packages at leading sports and entertainment venues across the world.
It provides official hospitality to the likes of the Six Nations, FA Cup Final, Cheltenham Festival and Wimbledon.
Mike Dunderdale, managing director at Hospitality Finder, added: “When it comes to F1, Johnny is one of the amiable former F1 drivers out there.
“Having him in the Green Room, rubbing shoulders with our clients was an easy decision and we can’t wait to hear what he has to say up on the panel.”
The company has seen a 19% increase in business orders over the last two years compared to the previous two largely due to the increase in the number of events being offered and the expansion of the Green Room at the Monaco GP and the British GP.
Launched in 2004 and based in Maidstone, Hospitality Finder now employs more than 30 members of staff.
