More than 250 people have already registered for the first Kent event aiming to bring you face-to-face with your connections online.
LinkedIn Local, a global campaign aiming to unite people with their LinkedIn connections, will be staged on Thursday, October 25, at 6pm, at the Great Danes Hotel in Maidstone.
The free, non-profit event first took off in Australia with the aim to bring online relationships offline.
Three speakers will be supporting the theme of ‘going offline’, including Liu Batchelor who recently curated the TEDx talks in Folkestone.
In addition, those attending will hear from David Beaney, founder of Breaking the Silence, who will share his views on wellbeing in the workplace.
Finally, Miranda Chapman, managing director of creative agency Pillory Barn, will be highlighting the importance of having a little black book.
LinkedIn Local organiser Mark Gaisford, founder of marketing recruitment agency RedSprout, said: “Unlike traditional business networking events, LinkedIn Local is all about actually getting to know people; not selling, or pitching.
"We’re blown away by the response so far. We’re hoping attendees will leave feeling inspired from our fantastic line-up of speakers and will have a few more names to add to their little black books.”
LinkedIn Local Kent is a free event sponsored by Kreston Reeves, HoloSigns, Deeson, We All Need To Talk, V21 and Avviso Media.
