Professor Marian Garcia, dean of Kent Business School at the university, said: “The information sharing and networking that goes on at each Kent Business Summit is valuable to us all in different ways. It seems important to extend the collaboration and peer-to-peer support that takes place at each summit, and bring it online to businesses during this extraordinary time.”

Cllr Gough added: "Covid-19 is both a health emergency - and an economic one. It’s vital we support Kent and Medway businesses of all sizes as our local economy begins to recover and revive. The Kent Business Summit webinar will provide the opportunity to discuss and shape how best we can provide the most effective support to keep Kent open for business and invest for the future.”

During the hour-long online event, participants will hear the latest economic forecasts from the Bank of England, as well as an overview of the council’s draft roadmap to renewal as we begin to move out of lockdown. This includes plans to support business; accelerate business growth and invest in the future.

The webinar takes place on Friday, June 26, between 12.30-1.30pm.
