A FRUIT processing company is celebrating six successive months of recordbreaking sales.
Fourayes Farm, based in Sittingbourne, has processed more 4,000 tonnes of Bramley apples over the six-months--up almost a third on the same period last year.
The farm has been in the Acock family since 1953 and employs more than 50 people from Sittingbourne and Bicknor. It is the last remaining English-owned apple processor in the country.
Business has been boosted by a deal to supply the apple filling for Tesco's Bramley apple turnovers.
Managing director Philip Acock, said: "Fourayes Farm has undergone a major revamp over the past seven years and we've invested heavily in new machinery and staff.
"All these factors, along with local support, have contributed to the growing success of the farm and we're delighted that business is booming."
